BRA TYPES GUIDE. HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT BRA FOR YOUR BUST?
Meeting the expectations and needs of consumers is a priority for every industry. In the case of underwear manufacturers and designers, the result is a full range of bras that differ in functionality, appearance and application. How to distinguish them? What are they characterized by? Here is a list of the most popular and most frequently purchased styles:
1. Full-cup bra (padded)
One of the most comfortable types that is built up and covers the entire breasts, giving them a round shape. This type of bra is dedicated to women with large breasts. Equipped with wide, comfortable straps, it is the best everyday style.
2. Half-cup bra (balconette bra)
Unlike the full-cup, this type of bra exposes the upper parts of the breasts and works well with deeper cleavage. The bra makes the bust slightly lifted and rounded, and wearing it is as pleasant and comfortable as in the case of its predecessor. The universality of this style means that it will be used both on a daily basis and for more demanding outfits in which the cut-out neckline makes it impossible to wear a built-up bra.
3. Push up bra
The magician among bras, i.e. a style that can optically increase the size of the bust. This is achieved thanks to the built-in inserts that push the bust up and make it bigger. It is extremely popular among women with small breasts, and the condition for the desired effect is to properly fit it to the body.
4. Longline bra
A bra with an extended waistband resembles a corset both in appearance and functionality. It shapes not only the breasts, but also the back and sides of the chest, making it appear slimmer and slimmer. The style is extremely popular among designers, for whom the bra is a visible element of the entire styling. Its greatest advantages include the fact that it does not imprint like other styles and looks really nice on the bust.
5. Strapless bra (e.g. bardotte)
Bardotte, or the Polish version of "strapless" is a type ideal for blouses and dresses without straps or with very thin straps that would not be able to cover the bra. Removable straps and a horizontal line of the upper edge of the bra supported by silicone straps that hold the bust are two characteristics of the balconette, which is a typical evening bra.
6. Semisoft bra (semi-padded)
A type that combines both the advantages of padded and soft bras. It is light, soft, but at the same time solidly supports the breast. Semisoft usually has a stiffening at the bottom of the cup, and its upper part remains soft. The bra can nicely level and cover up the unevenness of the breast, it looks great on both small and larger breasts.
7. Soft bra (soft)
The soft cup type is a bra that comes in two versions. The non-wired version, usually made of lace or tulle, is recommended for ladies with small breasts. Underwire soft bra allows you to support and shape medium and large breasts. In both versions, the cups are very comfortable, delicate and do not restrict movement, so their popularity increases with the arrival of hot summer.
8. Soft side support bra (soft bra with side support panel)
Enriching the soft type with a side panel supporting the bust makes this bra perfectly gathers and rounds a very large bust. Soft cups are comfortable and convenient, and the stable structure ensures perfect breast support in the correct shape.
9. A sports bra
A soft, very built-up and flexible bra is primarily intended to protect and immobilize the bust during exercise. A sports bra is usually made of a thicker, breathable material that gathers and supports the bust in one place.
10. Multiway bra
Close to the bardot, a bra with detachable and fastened straps is great for demanding tank tops, e.g. boxer shorts and evening outfits. The straps can be freely re-pinned, crossed, unfastened and replaced with transparent silicone straps, so that they are invisible under clothing.
11. nursing bra
A great convenience for every mother and pregnant woman is a bra with detachable cups. It allows easy access to the breasts without having to remove the entire bra. It is a comfortable and functional solution that allows mothers to feed their baby efficiently, but also to skillfully emphasize and support the breasts during and after pregnancy.
